Important Boykin Spaniel News
At the April 13-14, 2009 AKC Board of Director's
meeting it was voted to allow the Boykin Spaniel to be registered with
AKC!
The Boykin Spaniel is
eligible for AKC registration on December 2, 2009, and eligible to
compete in the Sporting Group at all shows held on and after December
30, 2009. All Boykin Spaniels currently enrolled in the AKC FSS program
that have a 3-generation pedigree on file will be issued registration
papers in December.
Since 2006 Boykins have been
allowed to compete & earn AKC titles in Spaniel Hunt Tests, obedience,
agility, tracking, and rally.
There will be an Open Registry for the
breed until January 1, 2015. Boykins from other registries are welcome
to join AKC any time until 2015 by simply filling out an AKC

BSCBAA, a non-profit organization, is
for owners, breeders and friends of the
Boykin Spaniel.
